Brass for Africa employs local teachers who are alumni of our projects, offering them a salary, training, health care and other support.

Teachers are trained by professional musicians on placements with Brass for Africa. They gain expertise in music tuition as well as transferable career skills such as leadership, management and communication skills.

Teachers are able to pursue other careers alongside their teaching work. As ex-students of Brass for Africa's programmes, the teachers are uniquely positioned to understand the challenges faced by participants and provide valuable role models in their lives.
