Monrovia – Liberia
In June, the Brass for Africa band in Liberia were invited to perform at an important event which was hosted by the First Lady of the Republic of Liberia Clar Marie Weah, and attended by her husband President George Weah. This event launched “She’s You” the First Lady’s initiative for menstrual and personal hygiene awareness. It took place in Monrovia and received wide coverage on national TV and in the press.
The Brass for Africa band were proud to perform Liberia’s National Anthem along with a variety of other tunes to such an important audience. Your support is enabling our participants to develop the musical skills and ability to be confident in performing at major events where they are representing their communities.
