Brass for Africa is committed to protecting your privacy and will use any personal information that we collect about you in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
We, Brass for Africa, collect personal information from you, such as your full name and email address, on our website www.brassforafrica.org (“Website”) when you sign up to receive our email newsletters, online registration forms, or when you make a donation through our payment portal. This can be directly from us, from Hubspot (our CRM/Marketing Portal) or from Enthuse (our Payment Portal). We do this in order to keep you informed about our charitable activities and events that you might be interested in, as well as to send you a donation receipts when a payment is made, or other requested information.
If you registered with the Website and/or signed up on the Website to receive email communications from us before 25 May 2018, you will only receive emails from us if you gave us consent to continue being contacted by Brass for Africa.
From 25 May 2018 onwards, we will only be able to send you email newsletters and information if you give us explicit consent to do so when you sign up on the Website. You are given the opportunity to give us your consent when you sign-up to our newsletters, register to online forms, sign-up to fundraising opportunities or when you make a donation.
Whether you signed up before or after 25 May 2018, you can always withdraw your consent to receive information from us whenever you wish sending an email to us info@brassforafrica.org containing the word UNSUBSCRIBE, or by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any Hubspot email that you receive from us.
We only use the personal information that you provide to us for the purpose for which you provided it, and we do not collect any other personal information about you from third parties; we only provide or share your personal information with our third-party providers such as Hubspot and Enthuse, which processes data on our behalf and on our instructions. We require that any such third party complies strictly with all relevant applicable data protection laws. We will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to send you information, and we will delete it once we have no further use for it. Furthermore, you have the following rights in relation to the personal information of yours that we hold: to ask us to delete it; to ask us to show you all of the personal data that we hold on you (a Subject Access Request); to withdraw consent (see above); to ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data that we hold; to restrict processing; to ask us to erase your personal data permanently; to object to the way we process your personal data; and to data portability.
