CoRSU Rehabilitation Hospital
Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services in Uganda (CoRSU) Hospital is a specialised surgical hospital in the Buganda Region of Uganda that was established in 2006 as a private non-profit NGO.This new programme will focus on bringing joy, instilling hope and showing what can be achieved by the hospital patients, many of whom are recovering from life-altering procedures. Twice a week Brass for Africa Music & Life-Skills teachers go to the hospital to perform for and teach the patients, primarily using pBuzz instruments. This programme uses the power of music to lift spirits for those at a time when they may be at their lowest.
"It has been so much fun and a great learning experience for the children. They are facing a lot of distress and many psychological issues, but you can see how much this session has relieved and relaxed them. Music is therapy and I am so eager for the next session already!" Alice, Community Psychologist at CoRSU.
