M-LISADA Orphanage

M-LISADA is a locally-led non-profit and registered orphanage for vulnerable children in Katwe, Kampala's largest slum.

Since 2009, Brass for Africa has worked closely with M-LISADA to support vulnerable children who are orphans, refugees, live in extreme poverty, or who have been abandoned or abused. At the core of M-LISADA is the performing arts and with a motto stating “Music to the Rescue”, our Music and Life-Skills programme has created a safe space and sense of community for beneficiaries to gather, learn and grow.
