WHY JOIN?

THE PROBLEM & OUR SOLUTION

In Sub-Saharan Africa, 1 in 3 girls are married before their 18th birthday. The region also hosts 30% of the world’s refugee population and children with disabilities face double discrimination (UNESCO).

But together, we can change the narrative and achieve the following:

  • ACCESS TO BRASS FOR AFRICA’S PROGRAMMES: The funds will provide 400 children and young people with an entire year of access to Brass for Africa’s programmes.
  • EMPOWERING GIRLS AND YOUNG WOMEN: Funding would help increase female participation in programmes, leadership roles and technical skills training.
  • INCLUSION OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES: Funding would help increase awareness among the population about the needs of people with different abilites through special projects, performances and events.
  • SUPPORT FOR REFUGEES: Funding would help contribute towards ensuring refugees have equitable opportunities through training, help with business start-ups, and connections to essential services.

“Our Artemis Profit Hunter team has proudly participated in Brass for Africa’s sports challenge for four years, dedicating themselves to supporting the empowerment of girls and young women across sub-Saharan Africa. Not only has this challenge been a brilliant opportunity to make a positive impact, but it has also served as a fantastic team-building activity, fostering healthy competition between our team and other participating companies. Together, we have not only grown stronger as a team but have also made a lasting difference in the lives of many.”
