From 3rd – 22nd July 2022, Brass for Africa will be touring an ensemble of 12 brilliant and vibrant brass and percussion musicians from Uganda across The Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany.
These dynamic young performers are also Music & Life-Skills Teachers at Brass for Africa. They began their journey with Brass for Africa as students benefiting from our programmes, in environments such as informal settlement areas, orphanages and rehabilitation centres. Their talent and dedication led them to be recruited and trained as teachers, and in their daily work they inspire the next generation of disadvantaged children and youth in Uganda. They are a living testimony of the power of music to change lives.
Audiences will be enticed by the colourful and dramatic programme presented by the touring ensemble. It will feature African-inspired brass band classics, popular music from sub-Saharan artists, and traditional East African music arranged by the performers especially for the tour.
